Description:
A vintage 12K gold filled heart shaped locket that hangs from a 14K gold filled fine oval link chain that is 16" long.
The front of this locket features etched leaves in the top center with a rectangular cartouche below it. On either side of the leafy cluster are some etched rectangles that form lines on each of the lobes of the heart. At the bottom front of the locket are three etched flourishes. The back of this retro heart shaped locket is plain with no design.
The bale is a round loop. This locket is circa 1920s-40s in age.
The hinge for this retro locket is on the left side, and it opens from the right side.
There are 2 wells inside for photos. One well has a frame intact. Currently the wells themselves are empty and are in a heart shape.
The locket hangs from a vintage 14K gold filled chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.
Measurements:
Measures 7/8" long (not including bale loop) and is approx. 3/4" wide at widest section at the top of the heart. With the bale, the pendant hangs at a 1" length

Markings:
Gold filled chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on a tag near the clasp. There is also a letter H inside a diamond shape. This hallmark is for the Jacob Hookaylo Company of Newark, NJ that was in business circa 1922.
On the locket, one of the inner frames is marked GOLLDFILLED and on the other side it is marked 1/20 12 KT.
Condition:
In nice vintage condition with wear as would be expected an item that is circa early mid century. NOTE: There is a lot of patina in the inner wells.
The locket when worn, looks ever so lovely and ready for your photos!

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
