Description:
Beautiful heart shaped vintage 10K gold filled locket featuring a shield with a design on the front. When purchased, I was told it was a Naval design. It features a tree on the bottom, a stripe through the middle with a backwards crescent moon and stars with an oil lamp on the top portion. The bottom has a banner that appears to have letters on it but I am not able to decipher them. The back of the locket is plain except for the hallmark and 10K GF markings.
There are 2 compartments for photos inside this Circa 1950s gold filled Carl Art Co. locket. Only one set of photo frame remains.
The Carl Art Jewelry Co. out of Providence, Rhode Island was in business from 1936 to approximately 1976.
The vintage locket hangs from a long (24 inch) vintage (new old stock) gold filled chain. Spring ring clasp open and closes securely.
The locket is circa 1950s.

Condition:
Gold filled locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with slight wear commensurate with vintage age. Some green discoloration to the inside of the locket (left side on photos).
Markings:
The remaining inside frame is marked "Goldfilled". The back has the hallmark for the Carl Art Co. which is the letters C and A with an arrow through them. Above the Carl Art hallmark it is marked 1/20 10KT G.F.
Chain is marked GF 12-20.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
