Description:
Lovely antique Art Nouveau gold filled round photo locket on a 12K gold filled chain. Beautiful and ornate, this locket was from the early 1900s. The locket front features a matte finish with an etched floral design swirling across it. There are decorative paste stones throughout - 8 in. total, ranging in size.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The back also has a matte finish and has a swirling monogram of "AG". The monogram is VERY decorative and has multiple swirls for each letter. The hinge for this vintage pendant locket is on the bottom and the locket opens from the top.
The locket hangs from a long and heavy 12K gold filled chain. The spring ring clasp on the link chain opens and closes securely.
The antique locket no longer has the inner frames intact. It closes with a snap (and very securely). This antique round locket hangs from a new old stock 24” long 12K gold filled oval link chain.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with light wear on both sides and on the paste stones as would be expected an antique item that is from the early 1900s- most wear to the back of the locket (monogramed side) see photos for detail. One or two of the paste stones have lost some of their brilliancy - see photos for details.
Markings:
The locket is hallmarked S.B. Co. on the inside of the locket.
The chain is marked 1/20 12K GF on the spring ring clasp.
S.B. Co. stands for the Standard Button Company from Attleboro, Mass. that was popular circa 1915/1922

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
