Description:
A large and distinctive vintage 10K gold filled Art Nouveau etched and paste adorned locket in a shield shape made by the that is circa 1920s. The locket is hallmarked in one well with a fleur de lis in a raised circular shape with some letters or symbols at the top.
The front of this vintage pendant features etched flowers, leaves, and curls with 14 clear round paste accenting this flowing floral shape. On either side of the etched flowers, sets of tiny *paste gems hang on this flowering vine, from top to bottom. The etched and studded design fills up the whole front of the shield shaped locket.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The back of the locket is plain with a matte finish. The top bale is fanned and also has some vertical lines on it.
This uniquely shaped locket has room for two photos inside. This locket has the hinge on the left, and opens on the right. Both of the inner frames and one of the plastic covers are still intact.
The filigree fold over clasp on the vintage gold filled chain opens and closes securely. The vintage chain complements this wonderful locket from yesteryear.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
