Description:
Classic round antique 19th century engine turned gold filled pocket watch style of locket on a long 14K gold filled chain. This antique jewelry piece features a central oval cartouche surrounded by an engine turned textured surface that covers most of the round locket. The back of the locket has the same design as the front. The bale is a plain large round loop. The hinge is on the bottom of the locket and it opens from the top. To open and close this round locket, the tab on the side must be pushed down - it closes securely.
There are 2 round compartments inside this locket both with old daguerreotype photos inside. They are underneath beveled glass covers. One photo is a young girl, and the other one is of a young boy. The photos are late 1800 to early 1900s in age. With this type of photo compartment, we recommend the use of a jeweler to remove the old and insert different photos as the covers are glass.
The antique locket hangs on a new long 14K gold filled oval link chain. The chain’s spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.

Condition:
This round Victorian era locket necklace is in nice antique condition with patina and wear on both sides that is commensurate with vintage age. Some small impressions on both sides as would be expected an item that is well over 100 years in age. See photos for detail. The new chain is in good condition.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
