Description:
An antique eight-sided or octagon shaped locket with a monogram of MGM in a block font inside a rectangular shape on the front. The front of this Art Deco Era locket also has etched vertical pinstripes on either side of the central monogram. We call this necklace one of our “Timeworn Treasures” as this early 1900s piece shows some wear from its past with some denting / impressions and patina. Still, it is a lovely piece from yesteryear to be worn and enjoyed today!
The back side of this antique locket is plain with no design. Locket is gold plated and is circa early 1900s. The locket opens and closes securely.
The antique 8-sided locket opens and closes securely and has a tiny rounded end fold over clasp with an open triangular bale - it reminds one of a purse closure. This locket is quite slender, more slender than most especially considering its size.
This locket has a unique closure at the top that reminds one of a purse - a little round is pushed to open it. The bale is a triangle shape and this little round is just below the bale.
Inside the locket are two black and white old pictures of two beautiful women dressed in fancy early 1900s garb. The do not appear to be photos, they seem printed.
Both of the frame's sides are hallmarked for the FM CO.
The antique locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled Rolo chain that is 18" long. The spring ring clasp on the chain opens and closes securely.

Condition:
The locket necklace is in fair to nice vintage condition with patina and wear commensurate with antique age. Some light scratching on locket front and the back. Upon close inspection, the locket has a slightly concave shape. More scratching on the back as it is plain with no design and edges where the gold plate has worn through to the base metal - see photos for detail. Item's price reflects this Timeworn Treasure's condition.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
