Description:
A vintage 12K gold filled rectangular etched locket that hangs from a new 14K gold filled chain. The locket is unique in that it opens from the bottom as a slide window. The front of this rather slender locket has two etched flowers with a pink cast. It hangs on a new 14K gold filled rope chain. The back has a wonderful snowflake design etched on it. The top and bottom have ornate twisted frame designs. You simply pull on the bottom design to slide open the photo window. The frame with a plastic cover inside it is still intact.
The locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled rope chain that is 18" long. The clasp opens and closes securely.
NOTE:
This gold filled locket is a La Mode piece. La Mode was a trademark used by Ripley and Gowan of Attleboro, Mass. The company’s history dates back to the 1880s. Ripley and Gowan filed for use of “La Mode” as a trademark in 1924. The company used the trademark for both women’s and men’s jewelry.

In nice vintage condition with wear and some patina as would be expected an antique item that is circa early to mid 1900s. Looks ever so lovely and ready for your photos!

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
