Lovely and large antique Art Deco round gold filled photo locket with an ornate design set with several round faceted paste gems hanging on a gold filled chain. The front of this antique locket features a total of 12 “paste" stones: three are red and 9 are clear. This locket’s front design features three etched three-leafed shapes with little etched stems. The three floral shapes are accented with clear and red paste stones with the red glass gems set in the center of the little three-leafed shapes and the clear gems set in each of the tiny leaves. The back of the locket pendant has a monogram with the letters WEK engraved in an old cursive font. The locket front and back have a satin finish. The bale is a plain round loop.
The frames inside are hallmarked for the B Manufacturing Company. The hallmark stands for the Bagley Manufacturing Company that operated in Pawtucket, RI circa 1934. Currently inside this locket, there are two round photo wells, each with an old black and white photo circa early 1900s. One is of a well dressed gentleman and the other is of a fine lady with a wide brimmed hat. Both frames are intact and both photos have the plastic covers still intact.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
This vintage round locket hangs from a 18” long gold tone metal (most likely jeweler's brass) single drop chain features a chain that is joined with another single drop piece for the pendant to attach to that is 1 1/2“ long. The chain closure is a spring ring clasp that is above the drop piece for the pendant and the pendant hangs from another spring ring clasp. The clasps are an older style of clasp. This chain is hallmarked for the Cathedral Art Metal Company that was in business in Providence RI in the 1930-1940s.
The locket, that has its hinge on the bottom, opens easily and closes securely. The spring ring clasps on the vintage brass cable link chain also close securely.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with patina and wear on both sides as would be expected an antique item that is circa early 1900s. The paste stones are all intact - some have darkened with age - see photos for detail.

The chain is marked CAM & CO near the spring ring clasp

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
