Description:
A lovely vintage heart shaped locket on a 14K gold filled chain. This classic locket necklace features an ornate front with both etched designs that are filled with a dark color to make them really stand out. The center has a Vertical rectangular shape that comes to a point at the bottom. Below and around it are some etched floral and leafy shapes. There is a zig zag line above the rectangle and more arched shapes above that at the top of the locket front.
The back side of this heart locket is engraved with the initials MRG and WEC underneath each other, which are most likely the initials of the lovebirds who are represented in these initials. This retro gold plated heart shaped locket is circa the mid 1900s.
There are two heart shaped compartments inside that show their age - they are quite dark and pitted, however photos would cover this if used to hold 2 heart shaped pictures.
The locket hinge is on the left and it opens on the right side. The locket closes securely.
The locket hangs from a very fine 18” long link 14K gold filled chain with a spring ring clasp. The bale on the locket is a plain round loop. The clasp opens and closes securely.

Condition:
The locket is in fair to nice vintage condition with wear and patina commensurate with vintage age - circa 1940s. Lots of patina and wear inside the locket where the two photo wells are. More scratching on the back than the front - see photos for detail.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
