Description:
Lovely antique Art Nouveau rose gold filled round photo locket on a 14K rose gold filled chain. The front features an ornate etched and seed pearl design of two cluster of grapes. The etched and seed pearl grapes hang from the top right of the hallmarked locket and are center right with the bottom left being empty and having a matte finish. At the top right, above the two grape clusters of white seed pearls are etched grape leaves and some tendrils that hang down gracefully. There are a total of 17 seed pearls that make up the grape clusters on the locket front. The back has a satin finish and is monogrammed with the initials LAC in an old cursive font.
NOTE: The locket is marked C & QR in one well frame which is the hallmark for Carter, Qvarnstrom & Remington, a jewelry company in business in Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1899-1930.
One of the two photo frames and plastic cover is still intact, and this side of this vintage locket certainly made us laugh! Inside the photo well is a cursive handwritten "For Rent" advertisement. (Yes, I think we have all been there. You are not alone LAC!) This round and slender vintage locket hangs from a fine 18" long rose gold filled chain - a very feminine chain for a very feminine locket pendant.
The locket has its hinge on the bottom, opens easily from the top and closes securely. The bale is a plain round loop. The spring ring clasp on the fine link rose gold filled chain also closes securely. The locket is circa 1920s.

The gold filled chain is stamped 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
