Description:
A sweet little gold filled open heart pendant with small rose colored flower and 2 tiny textured leaves in the front. The flower is in the bottom center and the leaves grow up on either side of this flower. The bale is a whale’s tale - an open bale and it holds a fine gold filled oval link chain. The original pamphlet about the Marathon Jewelry Company is included in the box and it has a colorful Kiddie Kraft Fine Jewelry front page with a sweet mid century drawing of a little girl with blond hair.
The necklace comes in the original box and is late mid century in age.
The back side of the pendant is plain with no decoration, but has the hallmark on one side.
The necklace was made by the Marathon Jewelry Company - see NOTE below - and is from the mid century. The small promotional pamphlet from the company is still inside the light blue velveteen box, both of which are included in this listing. The inner lid of the box is marked as well and states the item is 14K gold filled.

Condition:
In good vintage condition in the original box. It would seem this pendant was never worn as all the original packaging is intact. The box itself has some wear and discoloration consistent with vintage age.
The spring ring clasp on the chain is secure, and works as intended.
Markings:
14K GF and the hallmark of an 'M" inside a diamond shape are on the back of the pendant

We do offer gift wrapping for a special occasion or for holidays. Just let us know what occasion your gift is for and if you have a special message you would like us to include.
While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
