Description:
Antique gold filled slide on a 24" long oval link 14K gold filled chain. The adorable necklace slide features a simulated (glass) ruby cabochon on the front of the center of an etched starburst shape. The back of this dainty slide is plain with no design. The uniquely shaped slide itself reminds one of a flower with four petals that each come to a point in the center. The etched starburst with the red (glass) cabochon is the center of this flower shape. This antique slide is gold filled and the new chain that we replaced on this charming necklace is 14K gold filled. The antique dog chain clasp is not gold filled and is most likely jeweler's brass.
This gold filled slide and the dog chain clasp are circa early 1900s. (The oval link 14K gold filled chain is new.)
NOTE:
Slide chains were popular in the late 1880s into the early 1900s and were often worn with a pendant watch attached to the dog chain clip. In modern times, as in older times, they are a classic pieces that add to any outfit or ensemble.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
