Description:
A lovely vintage rose gold heart shaped locket on a 14K rose gold filled chain. This classic hallmarked necklace features an etched front design that is made up of some leafy shapes at the top and an etched triangular shape at the base. The top etched shapes and the triangle shape are separated by an etched rectangle. All around the front of this locket is an etched zig zag outline in the heart shape. The back side of this heart locket is pinstriped with tiny vertical lines on the complete back. This antique rose gold filled heart shaped locket is hallmarked on the inside of one of the photo wells with CT for the Cheever & Tweedy Company. This locket is circa the 1940s. See NOTE below about this company.
There are two heart shaped compartments inside with one having the frame and plastic cover intact. There is an old black and white photo of a man in the one side of the locket. The frame on this side has the Cheever & Tweedy hallmark. The other side of the locket compartment has the frame still intact.
The locket hinge is on the left and it opens on the right side. The locket closes securely with a snap.
The locket hangs from a new 18” long fine link 14K rose gold filled chain with a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens and closes securely.
NOTE:
Mark of "CT" is on the inside of locket for the Cheever, Tweedy & Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. (Successors to J.G. Cheever & Company. One of their 1977 advertising pieces states "Distributor for almost 100 years".) J.G. Cheever was in business circa 1880 and succeeded by Cheever, Tweedy & Company circa 1915.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
