Lovely antique Art Nouveau gold filled round photo locket on a 14K gold filled chain. The front features a raised bust of a woman with long flowing hair. The naked woman is accented by six dark faceted paste stones that form a crown in her hair. There are Calla lilies in the bottom left of the woman, and the leaves curl up and around the top left and around her bare arm. The back is plain with no design. The background on the front and back has a slight satin finish.
Inside this antique locket is one photo frame that is hallmarked with a heart with W&H CO inside it. The hallmark on the inside of this locket stands for the Wightman & Hough Company that was established in 1856 in Providence, Rhode Island. They manufactured gold-filled, rolled gold, and sterling silver jewelry. Each piece was hallmarked with a heart containing the initials “W&H CO”. They were known for lockets, medallions, and seals. They were in business through the Art Deco era.
Inside the locket there are two of the frames with the clear celluloid covers.
This vintage round and larger sized locket hangs from an 18” long 14K gold filled Rolo chain - a very special chain for a very feminine locket pendant.
The locket, that has its hinge on the bottom, opens easily from the top, and closes securely with a snap. The spring ring clasp on the long gold filled Rolo link chain also closes securely.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
