Description:
Lovely antique photo locket in a book shape from the late 1800s to the early 1900s that is a "Timeworn Treasure". This rectangular shaped rose gold plated locket features a total of five clear round paste (glass) stones set on the front horizontally across the middle area. Above and below these clear glass stones is a fine etched decorative zig zagged line. Above this “paste” stone section in the middle of the locket front is an area with a subtly etched criss-crossed lines making a plaid pattern on the top of this vintage piece of estate jewelry. The bottom section of the locket below the paste stones is plain with no design. The bale is a plain round loop.
The back side is engraved with the name “Marguerite” in an old cursive font that goes diagonally across the rectangular locket back from bottom left to top right.
We call this a “Timeworn Treasure” as this antique piece shows some wear from its past including light scratching and some areas of solder on the gold plate on the front. It is still a lovely piece from yesteryear to be worn and enjoyed today!
Inside the locket are two rectangular compartments for photos. The locket closes securely with snap.
The antique photo locket hangs from a fine link 14K rose gold filled chain that is 18” in length. The spring ring closure opens and closes securely.

Condition:
The book shaped locket is in fair to nice antique condition with wear as would be expected an antique item that is circa late 1800s to early 1900s. The front of this Timeworn Treasure has areas where the base metal is exposed and both sides have surface scratching - see photos for detail.
Markings:
The 18” rose gold filled rope chain is stamped 1/20 14K near the spring ring closure.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
