Description:
Lovely vintage gold filled oval shaped 2 photo locket on a 14K gold filled chain made by LaMode. The front features an engraved single initial “I” in an old print font in an oval shape that has a shiny background. Around the initial are decorative etched designs with points at the top, bottom and both sides. The back has an engine turned swirled circular design.
NOTE:
This gold filled locket is a La Mode piece. La Mode was a trademark used by Ripley and Gowan of Attleboro, Mass. The company’s history dates back to the 1880s. Ripley and Gowan filed for use of “La Mode” as a trademark in 1924. The company used the trademark for both women’s and men’s jewelry.
The locket itself has a slender look and feel in the hand, even though it is a nice sized oval locket. The bale is a plain round loop.
One frame with the gold paper backing still intact inside. This oval locket hangs from a fine 18" long 14K gold filled fine link chain that appears to be the original chain for this necklace.
The locket has its hinge on the left, opens easily from the right and closes securely. The spring ring clasp on the vintage gold filled chain also closes securely.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
