Lovely antique Art Nouveau gold plated round photo locket on a 14K rose gold filled chain. The front features red and clear "paste" stones and seed pearls set in a type of fleur de lis shape that is engraved on the center of this antique locket. The single faceted red (glass) paste stone is at the very top of this shape. Under this is the fleur de lis shape that holds 14 clear paste gems in graduating sizes in the center section. There are a total of 20 seed pearls set in the locket with 16 set in the curved sides of the shape as well as at the two small curls at the bottom left and right, and four set in a diamond shape in the center. The locket front and back of this Art Nouveau Era locket pendant have a satin finish.
NOTE: "Paste" stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
This vintage round locket hangs from a 18” long fine 14K rose gold filled chain. The locket has its hinge on the right and opens from the left. The spring ring clasp on the chain closes securely.

Condition:
In nice antique condition with light wear on both sides as would be expected an antique item that is circa early 1900s. More wear on the back side of this locket as it has no design. Some of the clear paste stones have darkened with age - see photos for detail.

The gold filled chain is stamped 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
