Description:
A lovely and unique antique gold filled round locket on a 14K gold filled chain. Most unique is this hallmarked locket’s patented fold out hinged picture frame inside. This allows the early to mid 1900s locket to hold three photos. The front and the back have wonderful detail with the front featuring the monogram "TC" in an old cursive font, and the back having an etched floral and leafy design that curves up and around the locket's sides. The front and the back have a matte finish.
The locket is hinged on the side and opens on the opposite side. It hangs from a 14K gold filled fine oval link chain. The bale on this large round locket is an elongated oval link.
The locket is hallmarked for the L&M Jewelry Company on the inner frame. I believe this is the hallmark for the LEVIN, MEYER & CO. of Philadelphia, PA that was in business circa 1934. The inner frame is marked noting that a patent had been applied for to patent the unique inner frame that holds the third photo.
One side of the locket and the center photo holder have their frames intact. The other photo well doe not have the frame present. The locket holds three photos - one on each side and one in the middle hinged frame.
The locket opens and closes securely. The spring ring clasp on the chain opens and closes securely as well.

Condition:
This circa 1930s locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with wear and patina commensurate with antique/vintage age. There are slight impressions on both sides of this locket here and there - see photos for detail. Still a lovely and very different locket!

The locket is marked inside PAT. APL'D FOR L&M CO on the inner frame
The chain is marked 1/20 14K on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
