Description:
A large vintage gold plated round locket with an ornate design with lovely repousse flowers and a purple glass gem in the center. The glass gem is in a faceted shield shape. The locket hangs from a new 14K gold filled curb chain that is 24” long.
On the top of the locket, and below the purple glass stone are raised flowers. All around the outer edge on the locket front is a diamond shaped repousse design that frames the purple glass stone. The locket that has two wells inside. The bale is a plain round loop.
NOTE:
“Paste” stones are a type of cut glass. Paste stones were mainly produced to imitate the look of diamonds or other precious stones. The most commonly used material for paste was lead glass.
The interior of the locket can hold two photos (one on each side). Currently the wells inside are empty.

Condition:
In nice vintage/antique condition with use marks here and there commensurate with age - circa early to mid 1900s. The back has some pitting and wear, more so than does the front. See photos for detail.
The chain is in good condition as it is new.

Chain is marked 1/20 14K GF on the spring ring clasp.

While vintage and antique jewelry items have endured the test of time, we offer recommendations so that they continue to give you years of wear. We advise removing jewelry for washing hands, dishes, sports, before sleeping and during vigorous activity as they may be damaged. Wash your jewelry with warm water, mild, detergent-free soap, and a soft toothbrush.
The jewelry pieces in our shop are vintage or antique pieces. We do not sell modern day (new) reproductions. As such, all of our jewelry is used and has been worn and enjoyed prior to your purchase. We try very best to accurately describe the condition of each piece and show the condition in our photos.
We accept returns and refund on items only if the item is in the same condition it was when it was sent to the customer. If you choose to alter/change/modify an item, it is not eligible for a return or refund.
We gladly accept returns for a full refund. However, when more than 4 returns from the same shipping address are requested within a 2 month period, we cannot accept a new order. It will be cancelled and fully refunded.
